Cormac McCarthy has been awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for fiction for his novel The Road, the BBC reported. The prize was announced at the Edinburgh International Book Festival on Saturday. Mr. McCarthy's 10th novel, the story of a father and son in a postapocalyptic world, also won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
