Four Random House titles have

Four Random House titles have been shortlisted for the 2007 Costa Book Awards (formerly the Whitbread Awards):

Day by A.L. Kennedy and Death of a Murderer by Rupert Thomson were shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award.
Nureyev: The Life by Julie Kavanagh and Young Stalin by Simon Sebag Montefiore were shortlisted for the Costa Biography Award.

The winners will be announced January 3rd, and the 2007 Costa Book of the Year, from the five Category Award Winners, will be announced on January 22nd. The Costa Books Awards are one of the most prestigious literary prizes in the UK which recognizes writers based in the UK and Ireland.
