February 21st marks 100 years since the birth of W.H. Auden, and Random House has published two new collections to mark Auden's centenary. Edited by Edward Mendelson, professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, these are an expanded edition of W.H. Auden: Selected Poems (Vintage Books) and a new hardcover edition of W.H. Auden: Collected Poems (Modern Library). Information on centenary observances in the U.S., Canada and Britain can be found at http://audensociety.org.
