
Six Random House titles have been announced as finalists for the 2006 National Book Critics Circle Awards. The winners will be determined by voting from book review editors and reviewers from across the country and will be announced in a New York City ceremony on Thursday, March 8th. The finalists are as follows:
Fiction:
•Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
•The Lay of the Land by Richard Ford
•The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Biography:
•The Most Famous Man in America: The Biography of Henry Ward Beecher by Debby Applegate
Autobiography:
•Stuart: A Life Backwards by Alexander Masters
Criticism:
•While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam is Destroying the West From Within by Bruce Bawer
